Well, first off - I hope you went to Cowtown Speedway last night for the ASCS series show.
Wow - what a race that was!
After a tough heat race where I couldn't really find a lane to pass on, I was able to sneak by Rodney
Henderson on the last lap of the 2nd B, which lined me up 16th in the feature race.
It was a tricky racing surface, with a few slick spots and a few really tacky spots, you really had to be up
on the wheel to keep it on all fours.
As the race progressed, I was able to pass cars on both the low and side, as the track had really opened
up. I'm sure it was a great race to watch too, with all of the passing going on.
At one point late in the race I saw the bottom of Sam Hafertepe's car go right in front of me as he caught
some serious air, but he would recover and we battled it out the last two laps. I snuck by for the win.
We're really pleased with our new Maxim chassis. I think the car is very drivable and comfortable
feeling, which helps a lot.
